This Stacking and Storage online course has been developed specifically for employees appointed to conduct, supervise, or inspect stacking and storage at any type of workplace, as well as for safety practitioners, managers and supervisors where stacking and storage is a part of their business. Stacking and storage is everywhere to be seen, from an ordinary office, to a construction site and manufacturing plant.  It is the responsibility of the employer to ensure that all employees are working in a safe environment.  This Stacking and Storage Online course will give a better understanding of the risk and hazards attached to stacking and storage; what precautionary measures to implement; how to monitor and review these measures; as well as different use of equipment and techniques for stacking and storage.

3. Materials Handling and Storage:  This will include understanding ergonomic safety and health principles; moving, handling and storage of materials; using different material handling equipment; stacking and storage practices; and stock holding structures.
4. Stacking and Storage Equipment:  This will include an understanding of pallet construction and loading; stretch and bubble wrap; and different types of containers.
5. Stacking of Different Goods:  This will include an understanding of positioning of different stacks; the size and shape of stacks; stability and bonding of stacks; stacking different types of goods including construction materials; the rules of de-stacking; segregation of stock; marking symbols for containers, including hazardous substances, class definitions, and labels; fire safety; inspections; floors and supporting surfaces; and PPE.
